Ongoing photographic portrait series
Gardener Archive is an ongoing photographic portrait series, which depicts gardeners standing within their gardens. The photographs aim to capture that very intimate relationship between gardener and garden, which is both physical and psychological.
The series developed during a residency at La Maison Verte, in Marnay-Sur-Seine, in France and has become a continuous project that is activated wherever I travel. Captured on 120 film using my Hasselblad, each of the photographs contribute to an ever-growing inventory of different garden spaces and styles specific to various locations around the world.
